National Alliance For Accessible Golf November 28, 2010 By USGA

The USGA believes that golf should be open to everyone.  To help achieve this goal, the USGA supports the National Alliance for Accessible Golf.  The Alliance, which receives support from a variety of national golf organizations, was formed in 2001 to increase the participation of people with disabilities in the game of golf and ensure that all persons regardless of ability have the opportunity to play the game.

The Alliance is focused on the inclusion of individuals with disabilities through the game of golf and aims to educate and enable people to play the game through programs, technical assistance, and provided resources.

Through a USGA grant, the Alliance is expanding its efforts to provide financial assistance and resources to help make the game of golf more accessible to people with disabilities.  With this funding from the USGA, the Alliance will administer the grant-application process for organizations providing golf programs for individuals with disabilities.

If interested in applying for a grant, please review grant program guidelines and application materials available on the grants page of the Alliance Web site.
